The weather is Kerala is very pleasant throughout the year. Monsoon marks its entry in June and lasts till September however October and November also experience rains, the rains are very unpredictable in the region it rains mostly in short bursts. December to January is the winter season but there is only slight drop in the temperature. Summer season begins from February and lasts till May, summers is very intense and hot in Kerala. The peak season for tourists is from September to March the weather is very comfortable and warm. According to vedic knowledge Parasuram the Great Grandson of rishi Bhrugu created Kerala. Hindu veds Parasuram cites that Parasuram was sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, his objective was to relieve the country by the rule of arrogant Kshatriyas. He slaughtered all the male Kshatriyas 21 times and filled around fives lakes with their blood. After this act he sought penitence for his sins. After his penitence he was awarded a stretch of land where his axe fell in the sea by the Gods the same land is now known as Kerala.
The Jews, Christians, Muslims dwelled in Kerala earlier. It is an interesting modern fact that the great explorer Vasco da Gama entered India through the coast of Kerala which is known as Kozhikode
