By Train
The very famous NESCO World Heritage Kalka-Shimla Railway and another one is Pathankot–Jogindernagar are very famous attraction of Himachal. Owing to its topography there is very little penetration of rails; there are no direct trains from Mumbai, Kolkata or any other metro cities there are direct trains from Delhi to Himachal.

The hilly terrain of Himachal is well connected through roads. However if travelling by road one must be know that some roads are closed during monsoon and winters due to landslides and snow
